Analysis

Davis’ district is solidly Blue and will return her to Washington. There are mutterings about a challenge from the left in the next election.

Republican Party, Darrell Issa and Carl DeMaio

Summary

Younger Republican and self-described Libertarian currently working as a news anchor for One America News Network (More right wing than Fox). She promises to cut taxes and to defend individual and economic liberty (including state rights to legalize marijuana) from the federal government and from "identity politics." And she objects strongly to the ban on plastic straws

Analysis

Here the matchup is between a liberal, if not progressive, Democrat with considerable seniority and what currently passes for a moderate Republican in her first general election.
