About Us

Who We Are

SD Indivisible is a San Diego-based, grassroots chapter of the national Indivisible movement. We are a collection of Indivisible groups within San Diego County that use the principles laid out in the Indivisible Guide to take action at the Congressional level.

We are a group for those who are interested in working with others to take positive action in creating an open-minded future.  Based on the Indivisible Guide, we believe that protecting our values, our neighbors, and ourselves will require mounting a resistance — one built on the values of inclusion, tolerance, and fairness.  Indivisible provides tools, training, research, and strategic coordination so people can take effective action — whether that means protecting free and fair elections, stopping harmful legislation, or demanding bold solutions to the challenges we face.

Our Principles:

In order to work together to achieve our goals, we must model the values of inclusion, respect, fairness, and non-violent action.  We commit to keep to the Indivisible strategy that focuses on current activities that directly affect our local Members of Congress and follow the leadership set by Indivisible.

Our Story:

Eight years ago, the original Indivisible Guide was written to help folks resist the Trump agenda. That Google Doc grew into a movement of thousands of locally-led volunteer Indivisible groups spread across every state, from Washington to Arizona to New York and everywhere in between. SD Indivisible is proud to be one of those groups, rooted right here in America’s Finest City.
